In the beginning of the 20th century mental hospitals were built in a quiet, rural environment for the benefit of the patients. It was quite often large establishments with dozens of buildings such as this in the small town of Säter, Dalecarlia, Sweden. This security wing was opened 1912 and was intended for the worst patients and also psycopathic criminals. It was closed down in 1989. Since 1989 it has been abandoned and open for anyone to enter. In 2006 the authorities finally decided to seal the house.
