Mine C

Well preserved mine buildings at a closed down mine

In this iron ore mine the mining began in 1895. There are unusually many well preserved buildings left here, although not so old. The headframe and hoist house were built in 1942, the dressing plant (enrichment) 1911. The operation was closed down in 1967. The mine is now filled with water. You kan see the headframe and to the left the hoist house.
