The Engine Factory

In 1920 Sovjet Russia ordered a lot of engines from some Swedish companies. They should be payed in gold. In 1922 this small iron works became involved in the affair since it was concidered to manufacture engine details of cast iron of sufficient good quality. Also it already had a large foundry. The works therefore expanded by constructing this more than 100 m long factory building to be able to manufacture engine parts.
